Having watched Giuliani talk about presidential subpoenas and read what Franklin Graham said about Clinton's and Trump's personal lives, I want to see something.
I want Giuliani and Graham in the same room, fastened somehow to chairs so they cannot leave. Then I want them to watch the videos or have the words read to them, maybe a few times. Then I want them to explain the difference in their firm opinions. I would be good if someone asked "were you lying then or are you lying now?" Giuliani said Clinton could be subpoenaed but Trump cannot. Graham said Clinton's sex life was public but Trump's is not.
Of course, I wanted it recorded and shown on every media that shows any political...including Fox.

(58,785 posts)out of that, but for entertainment I'd turn it on. Every time Giuliani speaks, I hear a cell door shutting behind someone.
But for truth? They're both profoundly dishonest and both clearly are true believers in what they want to believe. And that's what they'd spout. Any facts that conflict with what true believers know are immediately identified as ridiculous lies that don't need further thought. Exactly as we all behave when faced with true ridiculous lies. I know I've never felt a need to read an Ann Coulter book to learn about Democrats.
Btw, PBS had a good segment on the insidious effects of junk news last night. The producer's very brave, or perhaps mainly just giving, grandmother allowed him to show what an addiction to Facebook political content did to her. She's a strong Christian conservative who'd truly seen herself as mostly very objective and fact oriented, "I'm too much of an independent thinker to allow emotions to take over," who was completely suckered by the right-wing, including Russian, disinformation she was predisposed to. Clicking "like" on malicious misinformation targets the clicker to be fed more of it, and her feed was full of hyperpartisan and cyber war content.
Her grandson had also drawn a bunch of left-wing disinformation in 2016 when he started reading (clicking on) one hyperpartisan leftist site.
It's part of a series on junk news.

(8,879 posts)but I have 5 friends of 20+ years that I now refuse to speak to because they get all their information from Faux Noose, so would know nothing of your scenario. I bet they know nothing of the money paid to Cohen for access because Faux, as of yesterday, wasn't reporting it. If Faux began reporting real news, heads would explode.
