I've done some cursory research and it ain't 22 goddamned years. It isn't even 22 DAYS (18 days, Waffle House, Antioch, Tennessee) if you don't differentiate between killed and wounded/maimed. If you insist on only tabulating deaths, it is still only 12 WEEKS (MSD HS, Parkland, Florida).

(100,063 posts)If you add up the number of people senselessly murdered since 1980, it's got to be at least 3 million people killed by guns. That's both intentional and accidental. That's not even including the number of people injured or maimed by guns. And the group that should be doing something about it is only making the situation worse.
