by Aidan McLaughlin | 8:12 am, May 11th, 2018
Michael Avenatti fired back at Tucker Carlson on Friday morning, after the Fox News host mocked Stormy Daniels attorney as a creepy porn lawyer whose eyes are too close together.
In a segment blasting the media for devoting airtime to the porn stars lawyer and his case against President Donald Trump, Carlson declared:
Watch as this MSNBC panel, which is as close to a Democratic Party focus group youll find, gushes over the porn lawyer whose eyes are too close together, you know the one always on television, Carlson said. He then claimed the creepy porn lawyer does not appeal to middle America
Avenatti responded on Twitter Friday morning, deriding Carlson as a surrogate who had to resort to name calling.

gotcha.
Tucker baited him and he fell for it. What the hell does his hair have to do with anything?
LanternWaste
(37,748 posts)Precisely the same thing close-set eyes have to do with anything.
The relevant difference being, Avenatti's missive simply held up a mirror to Carlson's petulance
Satire. Try it just once... it's not just for the elites anymore.

(111,079 posts)He has been very good on TV.
His work on the Stormy Daniels case has exposed many areas of possible criminal conflict by Donald Trump and his allies.
he gives hope to the underdogs.

(11,579 posts)Pleasant looking (Rachel Maddow called him photogenic), well spoken, discusses whatever new details have emerged and sometimes hints at what will come next, and always squares his appearances by reminding people that Trump and Stormy had a sexual relationship and Trump tried to hush her up.
So, in short, he is a perfect guest to interview on everyone's shows. He is sharp as a tack and does his homework. So far the thread he has pulled has revealed a whole lot more than just a tryst with a porn star that became inconvenient for tRump when he ran for top office. No matter how far along the pulled thread goes, Avenatti always mentions the beginning--Stormy, which must make the right-wing crazy. While manufactured distractions come from Twitler's "executive time" Avenatti is all over the media getting much more attention.
One more point: Avenetti is extremely successful and rich without compromising himself, and now as popular as can be and is like a bloodhound when it comes to Trump and all his second rate players. He has become a living legend.

(63,221 posts)Here is a bit about his academic background from Wikipedia:
"Avenatti earned a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a major in political science in 1996. In 1999, he earned a J.D. degree from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., where he worked with Professor Jonathan Turley on constitutional issues relating to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). He graduated Order of the Coif and first in his class. In 2003, George Washington University Law School established the Michael J. Avenatti Award for Excellence in Pre-Trial and Trial Advocacy, an annual award given to the member of the graduating Juris Doctor class who demonstrates excellence in pre-trial and trial advocacy. Avenatti also received George Washington Universitys prestigious Alumni Recognition Award in 2010."
Not only that, but he's hot. Give any woman, or man, a choice between Avenatti and Tucker "Little Lord Fauntleroy" Carlson and Avenetti wins hands down.

(11,841 posts)And I doubt its a TV lawyer contingency fee.
Right now the most dangerous place to be is between Avenatti and a camera. It was cute to begin with, but so far the only thing he's succeeded in doing is raising HIS value for a future TV show. Saturation level was achieved about 2 weeks ago.
then again, I guess when you're going up against a Trump-type person, you want the same type person on YOUR side.
LakeArenal
(28,817 posts)What if he's doing it for free to "raise his value" (which is for far more than some future TV show)? That's what successful people do. Avenatti is so far from a "Trump-style" person. I watch him every time he's on so I guess "saturation level" is relative.

(11,841 posts)I may very well end up wrong, but I still think when all is said and done the only winner here will be Avenatti. He's not going to be who brings down trump, because this whole 130k think is meaningless. Theres No way theres going to be proof campaign money was used, and now that Cohens LLC has been shown to have received money From other sources that kinda ruins the whole story we were going with at the beginning; which was that it was set up solely for the Stormy deal.

His most appealing trait? THE MAN WILL ACTUALLY ANSWER A QUESTION! I am so burned out on every person being interviewed answering a simply query like it is an essay question and in the end saying nothing. He can actually say a direct "yes" or "no" or give a straight reason why he cannot answer. No matter how many times he is on TV, he is worth the time to watch, because he has something to say.
