Yes I went to the ER for an ingrown fingernail. I knew some cutting would be required so I didn't want to go to a Doc-in-a-box.
Procedure was done by an ER M. D.
Local anesthesia
Etc.
I got the bill today.
My share? $40. 😳😁

(23,307 posts)Take that and run with it. My spouse had to go to the ER for a few stitches in his hand after a pickle jar shattered while he was rinsing it. Our deductible hadnt been met so we owed the whole bill...$1100 for 3 stitches done by the PA. 😑

(182,769 posts)Very near my home. Now with Anthem's LiveHealth app I can FaceTime with an M. D. for routine type stuff. They can write prescriptions and even notes for work. $25 copay right now, starting in July no copay.
