4. Look at the southern tier of states - the Bible Belt.

We need a strong voter registration effort in all of the counties, nationwide, with over 15% utilizing the SNAP program. Get those people registered and get them to the polls.

If we could do that, things would change dramatically in this country.

10. Those states are among the worst for voter suppression.

The southern tier of states, I mean. If Democrats could get people using SNAP registered to vote and make sure they got to the polls and voted, we could turn many of those states around. We don't do that, though. It would be hard work and would require dedicated people doing the job.

Whenever I see maps like this, I recall similar maps showing who won in elections. If people are kept from registering and voting, the dominant population can keep winning and deny those same people a decent life.

The same thing is true in other states, of course. Voter registration is a county issue in most states. Voter suppression can also be a county issue.

We need to pay attention to these county-by-county maps. We need to look at voter registration and turnout percentages in each county and try to figure out why they are low, if they are, and how we can change that.
