19. I actually have some Scottish heritage (Eliot/Elliot/Elliott clan), which delights me, but...

...am not conversant with popular slang. And, I'm not in the least offended - I've been a pediatric nurse practitioner for 42 years, so I'm kind of hard to gross out or shock - I talk about pee. poop and puke every day that I work. There are just some images I'd rather not have burned into my brain. I'll speculate that this term refers to a bodily fluid that emanates from somewhere"below the belt," if you will, and, if so, that's all I need to know.

I spent 10 days in Edinburgh in 2005, with our sons, who were on a soccer/football trip. We stayed at the Marriott Dalmahoy outside of the city, and I ate haggis every morning at their sumptuous breakfast buffet - like I said, I'm not easily grossed out - . I also like scrapple.

Some of the more entertaining threads here on DU a while back were those listing various colorful expressions from Scotland used to describe Trump. Very imaginative, to say the least.

My middle name is Elliott, as is that of my younger son. He has the clan symbol tattooed on one of his wrists.

and over his head in debt. His money was all on paper and all for show with no there there at all.

Now that he's the Grifter-in-Chief and is shaking that money maker to beat the band, he's probably clawed his way back up to breaking even with a little bit left over as a cushion.
