An Open Letter to Marjorie Dannenfelser

TO: Ms. Marjorie Dannenfelser
President of The Susan B. Anthony List

I just read the news that Donald J. Trump will be the keynote speaker at your organization’s 11th annual "Campaign for Life Gala" on May 22nd.

I cannot imagine a more fitting guest to address an organization full of hypocritical busy-bodies who insist that their so-called religious beliefs should be shoved down the throats of people everywhere.

And what could be more appropriate than a “gala” – because one should always create a glamorous atmosphere in which to celebrate your group’s efforts to deny women their legal right to an abortion – which, by the way, is none of your fucking business.

I’m curious about what one should wear to such an event: a cocktail dress festooned with metal coat-hangers? How about a classic black sheath – the kind you would wear to a funeral for a woman who died of a botched, back-alley procedure because people like you work so tirelessly to ensure she had no safe options?

“President Donald Trump is governing as the most pro-life president in our nation’s history and Susan B. Anthony List is honored to receive him at our annual Campaign for Life Gala.”

While you’re all aflutter with being honoured and all, have you given any thought whatsoever to the fact that Donald Trump was pro-choice before he decided to run for office, when he did an about-face in order to sucker people like you into voting for him?

“President Trump has diligently and successfully gone about fulfilling his promises to the pro-life voters who worked so hard to elect him, and it has been a privilege to stand with him to defend the innocent unborn."

Have you considered the fact that his policies have left millions of American children without access to healthcare, and have literally taken food out of their mouths by cutting back the funding for programs like SNAP? Well, of course you haven’t – because they’re “already born children”, and your focus is on the “unborn innocents”. Who doesn’t realize that those already born are far less important than those who never existed – right?

Will the evening include a Q and A session with your illustrious “pResident”? If so, you might want to ask him why he’s supportive of separating children from their parents when they cross the border into the “freedom” that the United States used to represent. You might want to ask him why he encouraged men to refer to his daughter, Ivanka, as a “hot piece of ass”, because he thinks that’s what she is. You might want to ask him why he screws porn stars without using a condom, knowing that an unwanted pregnancy could be the result thereof.

Have you considered observing a moment of silence in honour of all the women who have died as a result of your efforts to thwart their access to something the Supreme Court has determined is their Constitutional right? Have you thought about adding a parade of unwanted, abused children to the evening’s festivities? How about dragging severely disabled children onto the dais, the ones living their lives in institutions because their parents simply can’t afford the care they require on a 24/7 basis?

Not to put too fine a point on it, sweetie, but people like you make people like me sick to their stomachs. And inviting a vomit-inducing “pResident” to keynote your “gala” is just so sadly predictable.

And let me add a word to the wise. Warn your attendees to wear a chastity-belt under their finery – because you never know when a self-declared “pussy grabber” will strike. When he shoves his hand under your panties, it won’t be to check your physical ability to carry a fetus to term – regardless of what he tells you.

You might also guard your backstage dressing room, because Mister “No one respects women more than me” Trump has demonstrated his penchant for “respecting women” by ogling them in various states of undress. (Of course, the aforementioned warning only applies to young, nubile ladies – those of you who don’t score a 10 on the tits-and-ass scale need not be concerned.)

So good luck with your pro-life gala. I’ve no doubt it will be the social event of the season for hypocritical women to gather and look down their noses at their fellow women who can’t afford to bring another child into the world, and realize that doing so would condemn that child to a life of gnawing hunger, unimaginable poverty, and zero hope of medical care when needed.

You, Ms. Dannenfelser, along with your organization, epitomize everything that is currently wrong with America – hypocrites willing to embrace a known misogynist if you think it will further your anti-woman, anti-American cause.

And you apparently have no shame in doing so – but there’s a lot of that going around these days, isn’t there?

The end result is that REAL women – intelligent, empowered, take-no-shit women – have no use for people like you. And we have no problem pointing that out at every opportunity.

Yours VERY Truly,
NanceGreggs

PS: You should at least give me credit for not calling you an ignorant, self-promoting bitch - along with a myriad of other terms that despite being deemed politically unacceptable, are nonetheless appropriate. I'll leave it to you to figure out what those terms are, and none of them are pretty.

I must say that you never hold back.........but tonight broke all the records.

Your well-placed anger and scorn just sizzle off the page. I wish they could read your post.

Well Done!

I am sorry. I am so tired from taking care of my 91 year old mom. Marjorie can go eff herself. Donnie can as well.

Nance, that is another of your brilliant, articulate and passionate rants.

My minor quibble is with your postscript. You don't need it. You make those points very strongly throughout your open letter. Name-calling, especially at the end of such a powerful screed, weakens the effectiveness of your comments.

Thanks for your continued contributions to the public dialogue!
