TRENDING: Ron Paul: Santorum is 'very liberal'
Ron Paul dinged rival Rick Santorum Monday for being a "very liberal" candidate, saying the former Pennsylvania senator and staunch social conservative voted for too much spending during his time in Congress.
Speaking to CNN Senior Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash before a campaign event with his son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, the White House hopeful said his rival had taken positions counter to true conservative ideas.

If Dick Santorum is 'liberal' then even I would vote 3rd party. Ironically Dick Santorum calls Faux News "Liberal".......

Rick Santorum Takes A Swing At Fox
DES MOINES -- Rick Santorum, who's been knocking "pundits" lately for long dismissing his now-surging candidacy, took specific aim Monday at his old employer, Fox News.
"I've seen the media completely try to shape this race," Santorum told radio host Mike Gallagher. "It's not just the liberal media. It's also Fox News. Bill O'Reilly has refused to put me on his program. As far as he was concerned, I wasn't a worthy enough candidate to earn a spot to sit across from him and be on his program."

Similarly wingnuts call Obama a communist, a socialist, and a fascist perhaps in the same sentence at times, without realizing that the true meaning of many of these terms are quite opposite.

Apparently, the "new" definition of "liberal" means you spend money and "conservative" means tight wad.... as they accept and spend tons of dough from... well... anybody.
And Fox News does indeed have a liberal definition of "news" that includes what many would not include under "news".

(6,440 posts)He says "not only the liberal media, but Fox News as well", which means that he clearly excludes them from that term. I know it's a minor point, but one of the things that distinguishes us from the wingnuts is that we actually care about facts.
He states the media in general is shaping the race. Newsflash: It always has. As to Faux motivations I would say to Santorum that maybe he shouldn't have been such a mockery of a statesman and shouldn't have obsessed so much with other peoples sex lives to the point where the only plausible response would be to mock him.
Faux news probably just wants the joke to go away.
