Why is Ron Reagan not a pundit on tv more?

I've always liked Ron Reagan and think he's well informed and articulate. I wonder why he's not on tv more as a pundit. Any idea why? There are so many pundits, and some that don't seem nearly as sharp as Reagan, that I would think someone would put him under contract.

(I thought of this because I just saw a Ron Reagan commercial on MSNBC for an organization.)

Ironically, his father rode to victory on the back of the moral majority.

Much snark and innuendo and suggestions that his marriage was a "cover." Although, given how awesomely frank he is, I sincerely doubt that he would have gone through any trouble trying to hide his sexual orientation. He strikes me as a man who is who he is. I always figured if he was gay, he wouldn't have pretended otherwise.

And, funny thing, given the side-eyes and all the talk about "family values"- he's probably the only person in his immediate family, besides his mother, who was married only once and stayed married til death they did part.

Lord knows, the Repigs did turn on him because he wasn't dripping in red & spoke his own mind. Typical behavior from them if one of their own doesn't walk in lockstep.

Maybe it's partly his wife dying a few years ago. I read in Wikipedia that he is under contract with MSNBC, but I don't see him there. Maybe they use him on some of the daytime shows.

I also read that he had endorsed Bernie for the primary.

Even when his father was POTUS. He's always been very bright and funny.

I've seen him very scarcely since his wife passed. Maybe that has something to do with his absence from television lately with SO much going on in the news.

Ron Reagan lives in Seattle.[1] He married Doria Palmieri, a clinical psychologist, in 1980. She died in 2014 from neuromuscular disease. They had no children.[15]

Notthat we all know one another but lots of us do.

I saw him several years ago in one of Stephanie Miller’s Sexy Liberal tours. He and Dan Savage, who I knew a bit years back. They were fabulous.
