I think I need to reread The Man in The High Castle.

It might help me to understand just what the fuck is going on in these Benighted States.

I mean, of course, the novel by Philip K. Dick, not the film of the same name. Hollywood has a way of fucking up a book.

P.K. Dick is without a doubt the most underrated, unsung artist of the last century. Powerful and visionary. He's influenced more artists and writers than anyone knows, I believe.

Pretty damned impressive for a guy who was living in his car eating dog food while writing ten novels a year.

And yes, we're living in one of those novels.
