The best part, to me, is that the lawyer claims he "paid for their welfare", when they are in fact working a paying job right in front of him.

His assumptions seems to be that they are, simultaneously, illegals and receiving welfare.

(26,060 posts)make the assumption that the poster was saying that? Pointing out that the lawyer moron was speaking out of his ass about what the laws actually are doesn't mean you get to shove words into their mouths. It's like everyone here is looking for things to get outraged about when there is plenty right in front of your faces to outrage you.

Add major reform of ICE to our to-do list.
I had not seen that statistic before. It is shocking! Those fuckers have way too much power and way too few functioning neurons.

(11,399 posts)Can you imagine if any other federal program had a 20% failure rate? Seriously, Medicaid and Medicare and other health and welfare programs have about a 2% to 3% fraud rate. Year in and year out the Republicans try to find "MASSIVE" fraud and they find 2% to 3%. Imagine if they found 20%. They would be screaming bloody murder (behind their orgasms of course) and call to halt all funding of those programs.
Conservatives want to "reform" programs with relatively little wasted and fraud, but they want to expand a program that has a 20% error rate and violates the civil rights of citizens. Priorities.

(45,154 posts)and hats they wear Police jackets and hats. They are engaging in racial profiling and even entering Churches. They round up people without regard to whether they have committed crimes or not. It has also been reported that when a police department calls them about someone in custody that is accused of serious crimes, and is undocumented, ICE is lax in picking them up, leaving the cost of incarceration up to the local jurisdictions.
All of this has been reported. It is easy to believe these piss-poor methods are rounding up a lot of legal minorities and citizens. I have no problem believing about 20% are mistakes.

(25,964 posts)Im wondering if that previously filmed battery could have more weight when it comes to his law license.
A New York law professor was quoted yesterday saying the most Snowflake Bigot would probably receive regarding the bigoted outburst was a private admonition from The Bar. Actual physical contact might change that outlook.
I wonder what the statute of limitations is on battery with a hate crime add on? Its obvious from the video his actions were based on the victims perceived ethnicity.

(2,396 posts)Maybe other people assaulted in the street will come forward since it's viral and these actions will hold more weight. Fingers crossed.

(24,876 posts)Anti-Welsh language complaints at restaurant 'on a daily basis'
Tudur Owen says hes tired of having to defend the language after the latest complaint in a review posted on TripAdvisor.
The Anglesey-born comic, who owns Ty Golchi near Y Felinheli , said the criticism was relentless.
Lesley J, who has written 15 reviews for the travel site, wrote: Called here last year mid afternoon and thought what a nice place to stop. So we made a special trip this week for mid morning drinks as we were staying in Llandudno.
We were seated with menus, however two pairs of the young waitresses seemed to want to catch up on chat and we waited quite a while. Evenentually we caught someones eyes and she took our order without much enthusiasm. The drinks arrived and again not with too much gusto. The place was filling up and we noticed all conversations was in Welsh, both with staff and customers. It appeared it was a place that gave preferential treatment. Our party of four was English and felt very isolated. Will not be returning here.
The couple gave a rating for the eaterie as two out of five.
Tudur said: Im finding this relentless criticism of the Welsh language draining, it feels at the moment like we have to defend it on a daily basis.
A minority of English people do seem to be quite ignorant of the fact that people speak Welsh as their first language-thats its not a hobby and we dont speak it to make English people feel isolated.
Its not a secret code.
Also, that lawyer's a piece of shit.

(35,407 posts)I experienced it in the Horn Of Zeese (Cup of Coffee), one of the greater greasy spoons in Northern California. Unfortunately the restaurant has closed and the language, Boontling, is dying. I guess the one difference is that Boontling was totally steeped in secret code.
Boontling is a dash of English, with a whole lot of boont. Technically, its a mixture of Scottish Gaelic, Irish and even some Pomoan and Spanish and was once taught in the local schools.
