So it was something that they said that they were doing and they kind of turned it into something else. But when you get further away from it, and you get a year or two years past this meeting and the information that we have outside of it, let's not forget that Natalia Veselnitskaya admitted that she was a spy a couple months ago. We knew that. But the most interesting part is that Glenn Simpson, who is the co-founder of Fusion GPS, was part of writing this unverified, salacious dossier about the president, met with her before the Trump Tower meeting with Don Jr. and after the meeting, which makes me think this wasn't about giving Don Jr. dirt. This was about her going into Trump Tower and trying to get dirt on the Trump campaign.

There's always a way to blame others. That's the way of the criminal. Some psychologists call it an "external locus of control." Blaming one's actions on the influence of others can reach pathological levels in those who fail to accept responsibility for their behavior. FNC lackies specialize in these kinds of presentations.

Even if one entertains the concept this was some kind of complicated international "sting" operation:

-A person would still get arrested for selling drugs to an undercover authority.
-Someone would still go to jail for soliciting sex from an officer posing as a prostitute.
-Just because Chris Hansen walks out with a bunch of cameras and there is no actual "Lol33ta69-4Mature", that still doesn't mean the predator is not cruising for underage sex.
-A person from the Trump family who walks into a meeting documented to be about providing "dirt" on a political opponent can't profess innocence by claiming they were somehow "fooled" because the meeting was actually about someone was "trying to get dirt" on them.

They are still dirty.

Occam's Razor applies. The simplest explanation is likely true.

Please give a warning when posting a Republican conspiracy theory. I darned near broke my hip by falling from my chair and ROTFLMBO.

My God, these people are beyond belief. That idea had to have come from a committee because it is beyond bizarre. Or, do they have someone on a leash who comes up with these ideas for treats? Alex Jones, for instance?

The Republican party needs to rent out a building of padded cubicles. These clowns are beyond help.

Oh, and BTW, that meeting was about adoption of Russian babies...remember?
