For all the hand wringing I think he’s been better than a lot of folks expected. A good reminder that just because you’re not all over cable news blabbering all the time doesn’t meant you can’t be effective.

I think that Perez has been doing a great job, apparently a lot of it behind the scenes - which is of course where the real work gets done!! IMHO the results of the special elections speak for themselves.
And his TV commentary has also been good, too. Whenever I hear him on TV, he comes across to me as sensible, likable, and committed.
Very, very good that Perez has no other duties (at least that I know of), rather serving as than part-time chair (as is always the case when we appoint people with other congressional or gubernatorial duties). These 2018 midterms require 100% laser focus on victory.

And I say all this as someone who was initially skeptical about his appointment.
