What is the GOP's long-term plan for Trump?

Trump has been defining every debate about the Republican Party with his neverending scandals.

His agenda? Not going anywhere. No prestigious projects they could run on. (Even the tax-scam turned out to be a dud.) Best the Republicans could salvage was stuffing the courts with as many conservative judges as possible.

The voters? Trump had lost in the popular vote, his margin in the Electoral College was razor-thin, and now the GOP is losing voters due to his policies and due to his behavior. A blue wave is coming and even if the Democrats don't take control of Congress, they will make enough gains to make life difficult for the Republicans.

And even if the GOP somehow survives 2018, what the hell are they supposed to do in 2020?
Do they really want four more years of unpredictable stock-market, international crises, embarrassing scandals and anemic agenda? (And the Trump-economy hasn't even kicked in yet! That will happen in late 2018 or in early 2019!)
Or...
Or do they want someone like Mike Pence?

Will the GOP support Trump in 2020?
Or will they backstab him and replace him with somebody less embarrassing who can get shit done?

He's just there to sign whatever they put in front of him. When he gets to be too much of a liability, they'll cut him loose.

Not going to expend a lot of my time and energy worrying about the bed they made for themselves when they voted for/enabled him.

But the American people's plan is to oust all Republicans until they are all gone. They've done nothing for the people except the wealthy and themselves, and watch all the corruption going on and do nothing. This will backfire on all Republicans forever. Russian puppets all of them. We want all politicians to represent all Americans, not Putin, or China. This president won't do it. The only thing he does is lie, and abuse his powers, and commits crimes.

Don't underestimate the damage already done. It will take decades to recover from the first 18 months of this administration. McConnell recently bragged that he's making "generational changes" to the judiciary, & he is. They've taken a hatchet to the EPA, DOE, & Medicaid. Medicare & SS are in their sites. Plus they got their tax cuts & if they have their way, they'll cut insurance for little kids to help pay for it. They don't care how embarrassing he is. Our government has been hijacked by depraved individuals who believe government should serve them, not all of us.
