Trump Should Get Details on Informant Before Mueller Interview, Giuliani Says

Trump Should Get Details on Informant Before Mueller Interview, Giuliani Says

https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-should-get-details-on-informant-before-mueller-interview-giuliani-says-1526814000

President Donald Trump shouldn’t agree to talk with special counsel Robert Mueller without knowing more about a man said to have approached Trump campaign aides in 2016 as part of the U.S. investigation into Russian election interference, his lawyer said Saturday.

Rudy Giuliani said Mr. Trump could be “walking into a trap” unless federal prosecutors make clear the role played by the suspected informant and whether the person compiled any “incriminating information” about Mr. Trump’s associates.

Mr. Giuliani’s comments suggest the Trump legal team is seeking leverage in the latest rounds of monthslong negotiations with Mr. Mueller about the terms under which the president would testify.

“What we intend to do is premise it on, ‘If you want an interview, we need an answer to this,’ ” Mr. Giuliani said in an interview.

In a matter dealing with him directly they may be able to keep that info from him. But I could very easily be wrong.

As Bill Maher said Friday (paraphrased) " Its what the FBI DOES! They look into shady characters like YOU.....Trump is like the guy who owns an ice cream truck and can't figure out what all these kids are chasing him"

And republicans went ape because they insisted they might have talked about the Hillary investigation? And they screamed obstruction of justice?

Imagine if Hillary were president and all these Donnie investigations were open against her instead. And then she pressured the fbi for names of informants.

"How many informant identities did you hand over to subjects of your investigations as a prosecutor?"

Of course they didn't.

7. "Incriminating Information"

Rudy stuck foot in mouth again, he just admitted that any incriminating information came from the administration itself.

That's a big difference from "fake news", they are grasping at anything these days and its obvious we don't know a half of what really went on, I feel that something huge is coming soon.

As if any democratic presidency would have survived this long having found to have done 1/100th of the things dumpf has been accused of.

I hate the fact that dumpf is our "leader" but I love the fact that these brain donors are as dumb as a box of rocks.

"I only hire the best people"

Assume they know EVERYTHING and answer accordingly, or assume they know nothing and prepare to go to jail for lying.

Oh, I see his point. It's a trap. Maybe Rump could get out of it on medical grounds by pleading Terminal Stupidity.
