We also know the FBI informant didn’t “infiltrate the campaign” and had legit reasons to ask questions.

I certainly do. It was infiltrated by Russian agents.

the "spies," which there aren't any of. He's saying he'll take action if anything inappropriate happened. But it didn't. It gets Trump off his back while not obligating him to do what Trump wants him to do.

So it’s up to someone to come forth with proof of something inappropriate. Not just a fact free request for a fishing expedition.

Rosenstein again straddles that tenuous line between enraging Trump and placating him. He parses words like a very, very well-trained attorney.

is a big word

and part to..."we need to know about it" so please tell us who it is" IF there is such a person

and, imo, Costa and the rest need to stop writing about, and dropping hints on, the identity of the possible informant.

He is saying, slyly... “ a presidential campaign” pretty sure he is saying not DT’s it in fact it was Hill and they know it. Of course Donnie will say he is vindicated.. and will get off scot free...while Muellersprings the trap Donnie and the dotardsare incredibly stupid.
Hey that’s my takeaway.

Anyone = Mueller’s incestogatins gave this coveted.

Inappropriate purposes: Got it. Inappropriate. But appropriate purposes are fine. Ok. I’d prefer illegal rather than inappropriate, but ok.

Need to know about and take action: seems reasonable. Again, Mueller’s investigation is covering this.

The statement really says nothing about any FBI informant.

Not bootlicking at all. Bureaucratese.

who would shut down the investigation? Because that's exactly what will happen if Spanky isn't "placated" - more accurately, if he thinks Rosenstein isn't doing what he wants. All Rosenstein did was issue a carefully-worded statement that said he'd deal with any "inappropriate" activity.
