"Taxpayer dollars shouldn't be used to fund someone's social media stardom for political or business purposes," Brett Bruen, a former diplomat who helped craft the State Department rules, told the outlet. "It doesn't take a savvy political mind to identify that Haley is trying to attract American voters for 2024."
Haleys tweeting habits were rebuked last year when the Office of Special Counsel accused her of violating the Hatch Act, which prohibits members of the executive branch from campaigning, when she retweeted President Donald Trumps endorsement of a Congressional candidate in South Carolina, Politico reported. She retracted the retweet and was issued a warning.

(15,543 posts)Whoops, excuse me, I got carried away by the example of RWNJs. Maybe not lock her up right away, but her republican 'overseers' could perhaps just invoke a wee bit - even just a beggarly smidgen - of justice with a reprimand or something. Is that too much to ask? I guess since we are talking republicans here, I am probably way overstepping the bounds of reasonable expectation.

(10,115 posts)She was for it before taking it down became an issue she couldn't avoid. The media, Chris Matthews especially, want to keep talking up how she was for taking the flag down. She wasn't. It took a massacre and a country's disgust that made it impossible for her to not act.
