A police officer was killed today in the city of Baltimore.

The officer was responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle park in a Perry Hill neighborhood. Details are still come in and a manhunt is underway for the shooter.

County police said it is unclear how the officer was fatally injured, whether she was shot, run over or both. Vinson said an autopsy will determine the officer's cause of death.

"We cannot confirm her injuries right now. We probably won't know for sure until an autopsy is performed," Vinson said.

Tony Kurek, a resident who lives in the area of the incident, told 11 News that his son saw the officer try to pull over a Jeep and had her gun drawn when the vehicle accelerated. Kurek said the Jeep ran over the officer.

"I saw the officer lying in the roadway, she was not moving," Kurek said.

Kurek said his other son, Logan Kurek, who is a volunteer firefighter, performed CPR on the officer and they called 911.
