3 people seriously injured after 30-person 'riot' outside wedding receptionThree people were seriously injured after a man dragged his fiancee out of a wedding reception, leading to a 30-person riot, according to Hellertown, PA, police.
Scott Brockel Jr., 25, of the 1000 block of Green Street in Allentown, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, riot, harassment and disorderly conduct.
Brockel was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Police said they were called a little before 8 p.m. Saturday to the Dewey Fire Co. banquet hall at 502 Durham St. for a fight involving 30 people, with possible weapons, intoxication and injuries. Officers said they found a large crowd outside the fire hall, and Brockel was getting into a vehicle getting ready to leave. Brockel was detained as police investigated.
Police said witnesses reported Brockel "violently removed and dragged" his fiancee from the reception and into the parking lot. Brockel then assaulted people who tried to help Samantha Arias, according to police, leading to a "riot" with about 30 people.

But then I opened the link.
Never mind.
This hardly sounds like a riot - it sounds like a bunch of people trying to protect a woman from being abused.
