Why doesn't Donald Trump want to know how Russia attacked our electoral system?
Why wouldn't he want to get to the bottom of it as soon as possible?
Anybody else would throw their full support behind our FBI and Intelligence agencies to find out the truth. But not Donald Trump? Why?
How could any American citizen not take this investigation seriously?
Trump supporters seem to be satisfied with the weak excuses of Donald Trump that he was set up by the FBI and the "deep state", left behind by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
It doesn't make sense.

(82,849 posts)A defense attorney, trying to exonerate his client at trial, gave his closing argument that the state hadn't proved its case against the defendant. In fact, he said, he had found the actual perpetrator of the crime, and had asked that person to come to the courtroom at precisely 10 o'clock. The real perpetrator had had an attack of conscience and now wanted to come clean about the crime. It's just 10 seconds to 10 now. The attorney paused, and every head in the courtroom was turned to the door. 10 o'clock came and went, and nobody came in.
Instead of defeat, the defense attorney said, "Ah ha! Everyone here was looking toward the door at 10 o'clock. That's reasonable doubt, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. You all thought someone else might have, could have, and did commit the crime of which my client stands accused. Since you have that reasonable doubt, you must find him not guilty."
At that point, one of the jurors spoke up. "Sir? Not everyone was looking at the door. I was watching your client, the defendant. He didn't look at the door. It's like he knew there wasn't going to be coming in the door to confess."
The Republicans aren't asking about Russian interference in the 2016 election for the same reason.

(22,976 posts)Not a peep from most of them. Many even praise Trump: Hes a patriot, hes not perfect, but God put him in the White House for a reason. The lie-or-delusion reading is difficult to discern on this point.
But they appear to be okay with tearing down America IF THEY BENEFIT ($$$$$). So far, Trumps been a Golden Goose for them, sending whats left of wealth upstream.
And the fundies love him because hes moving toward conflict in the Middle East, which they think will bring about Christs return.
On edit: the RWs delusional victimhood makes them flock to a bully who speaks their language (disingenuously or not). They adore 45s profanity and disdain for cultural norms, the law, the liberal media and political correctness, which, to a RWer, means being openly racist with immunity and without apology.
