I have no idea how they got my real number. I didn't feel like going, but the multiple texts and voicemails made me think... hmmm... my vote might matter.
In Georgia, we have two women named Stacey running for Governor on the democratic side: Stacey Evans and Stacey Abrams. I voted for Abrams, who also happens to be the candidate MoveOn endorses. At first I thought Evans had some great, effective ads, but she messed up when she went negative (and a little deceptive/disingenuous) with regard to Abrams' record. That was a huge turn off for me. If Stacey Abrams wins the primary and goes on to win the GE in November, she would be the first black woman to be elected governor in the country.
On the ballot, there was also a question about banning bump stocks, medicaid expansion, and public transportation expansion, among other things, so I'm glad I voted! Unfortunately, I didn't do my homework prior to this primary election and I ended up leaving some fields blank.

(32,679 posts)when it really matters, then we will do very well! I think either MoveOn or some other group came to my house as well, when I wasn't home, which is unheard of. I've never experienced outreach like this.
