Why Trump's discussion on "kneeing during anthem" is ..just another "con job"

It comes down to one simple idea. Trump is being accused of working (colluding) with Russia during the election. There is some "proof" to support this idea. Also some evidence that Trump would have lost the election without that "collusion." Solid proof that could indict some very important people in Trump's administration.

So ....Trump wants to "define" patriotism for all of us. That is if you "knee" during the anthem, "maybe you do not belong here." This is a trick, a con job, to get people to start discussing something other than the obvious fact...that Trump is a Russian pick to be President of the U.S.A. and.........that the Russians were very much part of getting Trump elected. Some evidence exists that the Russians may have (proof will come out, I think)actually tilted some numbers in some states......

But Trump wants to talk about patriotism....standing for the flag That is the key for Trump. Use the bully pulpit to change the discussion to something people can really argue about..... "kneeing when you should be standing for the flag" According to Trump, there was no Russian intervention or help in the 2016 Presidential election. none...and he will eventually try to destroy Mueller (I believe that is coming) for trying to prove it. ..But........

But in reality..it is a con job, to take focus off of the Mueller investigation, and on to something else. And Trump will not stop this, because it is indeed taking off the focus for some people: his base. And some others too. Some in the media have bought this. But the show is still in the 2nd act, and no one knows how it will end. Lots of possibilities.. We will see.

3. His primary goal with the anthem mess is its racial dogwhistling, not distraction from Russia.

The anthem mess shows that he is a racist completely on board with the white nationalist agenda of putting black Americans in their place - under the thumb of white men like him. Sure, it has an added benefit of distracting the media to report on something besides Russia. Still, his chief motive is stoking racial resentment to fire up the bigots that comprise the Republican base.

Russia is far more important. Trump defines "patriotism" not the media or others. Let us discuss this and it is far more important than anything else. By using the bully pulpit to discuss this, he does indeed change the focus. I think changing the focus, is more important than stoking racial resentment..Yes, it does that too, and quite strongly I might add....but I don't believe that is the major reason for this.

Get focus off of the Russian collusion in the election. That is what is called "treason." Further, I, Trump, will define "patriotism" not anyone else. I am the boss, and the media sucks..
