No kneeling decree.

So many alternatives.

All kneel anyway.

All stay in locker room.

Either of these two could be awkward - no unity, black/white divide

Ok, skip the kneeling. Follow Tommie Smith and John Carlos from 50 years ago - fifty! - and raise fists. Of course, then they'll ban fist raising. Or players could turn their backs. Then they'll ban back turning.

My favorite? All players go on strike. Just don't show up for work one weekend. Or rotate strikes throughout the season. This would be an extremely risky move in so many ways, but wouldn't it be a hoot?

Or work to rule. Do the minimum required by contract. Go on disabled list. Sure, everyone wants to win - it's the nature of the players and the game - but these options might be interesting.

Or players commit a portion of their own income and time very publicly to organizations and actions that continue to call attention to the police abuse that started this whole thing.

Of course, all of this requires players to be committed to what Colin Kaepernick started, and that might not be the case.

I don't think boycotts would work. After all, many (most?) fans are white, and they probably agree with the owners' moves. So skip that effort.
