If S. and N. Korea come to peace agreement terms and work on their Unification Program... then it removed Trump from any level of importance, and if this is supported by China and Russia and the European Union. Then it forces Trump to sign the Non-Aggression Agreement, with not a damn thing to say, but put his signature on it. He can't stop S. and N. Korea from making a peace agreement and structure their Unification of Korea.

He is trying to Game S. and N. Korea to try to make himself more important in this matter than he is, or for that matter, the U.S. because "Unification is Up to Them, not the U.S.

People have to remember, Trump came in an did horrible Damage to the American-Cuban Agreement, all because Obama made it happen and worked it out with Cuba.

There is China and there is Russia and there is Europe and Other Countries who are part of the Program for DE-nuclerization, and their voices matter as to how they approach that in relation to a Unified Korea sharing dual leadership roles.

Trump should have known you don't go do military exercise during a time when such overture for peace and unification is on the table and in the works.
Here we are with the worst foreign policy people in American history, and a destroyed Diplomatic Corp while we have a buffoon trying to play "imperialist strong man"... on an issue that the world community would support such Korean Unification.

N.Korea saw the damage testing has caused, and he knows that further testing will be only more damage, besides, they have developed the weapon, with no need for further testing. As to him, getting rid of the weapon, that is something that is worked out over time and in a process, not as a dictation of mandate before Trump signs a paper. BECAUSE, Kim can proceed with his works and talks with S. Korea aside from Trump... But, the Trump Administration aggravated the situation with the Joint Military Drills, of which S. Korea should have firmly rejected participating during this very delicate time.

Kim knows that once the weapons was developed, it was time to also focus on what it takes to unify and work with the South to advance the "economics of their unified Korea"....

If someone told America to give up something, in order to get a paper signed, the U.S. would flatly reject it, yet, they expect others to Trust Us. ... there is no precedent for Trust to that level, after what we did to Iraq... and the havoc we have created in the whole of the Middle East. China, Russia, Europe and Many other Nations already know they are not going t o get draw into any more 'Arrogantly initiated American" conflicts of such devastation. If someone sent a letter like Trump sent to America, America would take a stand offish non discussion mentality, yet, it expect N. Korea to take on "worships the American white man policy type of submission"... and that is not going to happen, other nations respect themselves and their people, and will not play into the covert dominance angles the Trump Admin is trying to exert....
