I believe hurricane season starts June 1, but Alberto doesn't

care about calendars. It looks like this storm system, just east of Cancun, could be drenching the eastern gulf coast in about three days. It could become a "strong" tropical storm, per Weather Channel.

that Texas has a high pressure system parked over it (at least for now).

I don't miss the Texas heat. It'll be in the high 90s where I used to live. Temps will be at least 15 degrees cooler where I live now during same time period.
