First lady Melania Trump is "doing great" according to President Trump on Friday, more than a week after a kidney procedure landed her in the hospital.

"She's looking at us," Trump said at the White House when asked by reporters about his wife's health. He was headed to board Marine One to Annapolis, Md., to deliver remarks at the Naval Academy's commencement ceremony.

"She's looking at us, right there," Trump told the press, pointing to the executive mansion.

The first lady "underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition" at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center outside Washington on May 14, according to the White House. Trump's office described the procedure as a success.
