5. They're an outgrowth of the POW-MIA movement...

...who were convinced Vietnam kept holding POWs after the war ended -- and weak-kneed bureaucrats & feckless politicians (dare we call them a "deep state" ) knew and did nothing.

It's a branch of the post-Vietnam axe-grinding industry that also produced the Swift Boat liars against Kerry.

Republicans have always courted these them because they directed most of their foam at Democrats, and to Team Pachyderm was just fine with using their issues to drive wedges between blue collar workers and the Dems.

On the surface, it should be surprising that a POW-focused group would be OK with POW-disparaged Trump. But once you look closer and know their conspiracy-theory origins, it's not so surprising that when push comes to shove they go with Kremlin Don.
