DUers, do you realize that Trump & company are intentionally spreading false propoganda?

I am concerned. Do my fellow DUers know that all he spews is false propaganda?
I see so many posts that highlight his crap. Highlight it, by posting it. Yes, I realize it is for the purpose of, "look at what he said now." I wonder what percentage of posts here are on the regurgitating of Trumps crap? I wish that would stop.

I wish we could stop this obsession and get to the business of the Democrats agenda.
We have elections coming soon. My hope is that we can support the elections by posting what Dems are about and the world we want to create, instead of Trumps propaganda agenda. Maybe ask that question before posting, "Is this news or Trumps propaganda?"

Energy flows where the mind focuses. Let's focus on the world we want to create.

Thank you, I will try to do the same.

There is a way to call him out on his crap without posting his false propaganda. That is my point.
Maybe my post is not clear.

what he's being called out for. So maybe the solution is to annotate his stupid tweets and call out the lies rather than just posting without comment.

it we should not regurgitate with an oh my gosh of any sort. If he bashes obamacare we need to counter with how much good that law did. When he talks of tax cuts we need talk about deficits and on and lost opportunities to rebuild our infrastructure. Define the narrative on democratic terms.

All that does is offering an additional voice to reinforce his lies, to further and intensify and underscore his lies.

And let’s not keep our powder dry on the LIE part. We need to say what it IS. What he says IS a lie. Almost every damn sentence or sentence fragment in his tweets or from his mouth IS a LIE.

Let’s NOT call it misleading.
Let’s NOT call it not truthful or untruthful.
Let’s NOT call it his “strange (or difficult, or odd, or unusual or any of those weasel-word tiptoeing through tulips) relationship with the truth”. It’s a LIE.
Let’s NOT say he’s prevaricating.
Let’s NOT say he’s misinterpreting.
Let’s NOT say he’s misrepresenting.
Let’s NOT be polite or offer any wiggle room, OR give him the benefit of the doubt, since he’s thoroughly SQUANDERED that privilege.
Let’s NOT tiptoe around it or be all careful and nice and diplomatic and delicate about it.

Here’s a thought: does he EVER afford our side that kind of consideration? Has he ever done that either recently or in the past? NO!

He’s a LIAR. And what he does is LIE. What he’s done all his life is LYING. His favorite indoor sport is LYING. His go-to default position is LYING. He wouldn’t know the truth if it threw him on the ground, turned him on his stomach, removed his clothing, and gave him an enema.

The bleat of newsfolk probably defaults back to an urge to be impartial, to be objective. But I’ve gotta say that by now, it’s an objective, impartial, nonpartisan FACT - a well-established and very well-documented FACT - that he is a LIAR.

And we need to say so. Loud ‘n’ Proud. And REPEATEDLY.

I would love for Mueller to report his findings, but we have an election in 6 months that will do more to shut trump down than anything else going on. That's what we need to focus on.

that so many here are willing not engage with those media outlets which do broadcast views from the left. The insistence on 100% purity in media is also stifling our voices while the hew and cry is that we have no coverage. It is up to us to support media that carries our ideas and to make sure that we put facts out there which can be reported. Relying on a handful of people to act as superheroes then kneecapping them when they can't do it all is profoundly shortsighted. Either that or we need to dig up done very wealthy people who can invest in media infrastructure on the left.

Sun May 27, 2018, 11:34 AM

by media outlets thus verifying his claim that “even you are calling it that.” Case in point. He claimed a spy had infiltrated his campaign. He dubbed it “Spygate”. And proceeded to say that the media groups were calling it that. Of course they did — as they reported what tRump called it. It is kind of impossible to report his latest claims without the exact words he used. But then he turns that around as if it is admission by media that it is true. Or that they called it that first. Just makes my blood boil.

I think media groups need to be very careful how they report tRUMP’s propaganda, being sure to label it HIS term, not necessarily what others are calling it. We also need to use caution in the terms we use. I would hope we’d be wary of adopting his terms because that lends it tacit agreement, too. It really is his way of guiding and influencing the news to his liking and we surely do not want that to happen.

After we rage (which is needed and appropriate), then try to follow with a proposed SOLUTION.

Sorta like the scientific method:

1. State the observed facts and data (typical tRump or GOP outrage).
2. Define the problem at hand.
3. Propose a practical solution.
