Here's a thought....for visibility by the Dems...

Why don’t they announce weekly press conferences to combat the lie-fest from Sarah Huckster who fills in for the never-present Twitler-in-Chief whereby they go thru a hit list of ethics violations, lies, Mueller updates, and, most importantly, their attempts at legislation to help Americans that either succeeded or were thwarted by the Repukes.

Command air time from that so-called liberal media and make it an organized, scheduled event

There is almost no discussion of policy differences between the two parties; just 24 hour Trump.

I wonder if they figure the "reporters" would just use it to create scandals and that the blowback could be worse than the appearance of not "fighting back" against the Republicans' bullshit.

We need a sober, fact-checked weekly index of what has transpired – from a Democratic perspective, and with a panel of Democrats that could be chaired by Schiff, Lieu, Pelosi, Schumer, etc. The supporting panelists could change depending on the issues at hand. People with economics expertise, such as Warren or other respected academics, could weigh in on the trade war Trump started, or the tax break for the wealthiest Americans. Those with a judicial background coud comment on the cruelty taking place in our names along the Mexican border.

This panel of Democrats – introduced with a quote from the preamble to the US Constitution – would be "news" in effect, which journalists can refer to if they're too timid to call BS for what it is. It could also provide a sense that there is a parallel United States out there that actually has a soul, respects the Constitution, and represents the best this country has to offer. (And worthy of voting for in November.)

Maybe you haven't been watching MSNBC and CNN?

They have been great at calling out the BS from Republicans on an almost daily (and certainly weekly) basis.

There is no routine fact-checking or policy discussion as suggested in the OP.

Maybe, a regularly scheduled rebuttal to the Republican talking points might begin to expose the truth.

It would be nice to be pro-active for a change.

But we crave a Democratic "statement." A weekly fact-checking, opposition panel would be news in itself. See my elaboration above.

yesterday, or friday? msnbc I think-- there WAS a woman defending 'our' tryth about what trumper and his ilk are doing.. no sound but CC.. she was pretty good.

But, most of what I see is eityher fuckwad on with his 9 yellow hairs, orange painted face and round missle-silo/asshole mouth blathering on ... OR a doiscussion about polls, blue wave, repubs doing this or that..

RARELY very rarely any dicsussion about issues or the fascisit, DARK TRIAD take over of out country.

Course. that's less than an hour/day for me-- more like 10-20 miniues here and thereof actually reading the words..and tyhat is only when somebody looks to be saying somethig intellifent...

that' more thani can usually take,,

We need to counter with facts as often as possible.

We need to write some letters.
