Its the same thing a cult leader does to convince his flock.

Why I never watch TV MSM anymore.
They are Kremlin bought & based on the same thing as Hitler's propaganda guru Joseph Goebbels.

Money & Media drives the message

http://www.psywarrior.com/Goebbels.html

SNIP
"He was elected to the Reichstag, the German parliament, in 1928. By exploiting mob emotions and by employing all modern methods of propaganda Goebbels helped Hitler into power.

His work as a propagandist materially aided Hitler's rise to power in 1933.
When Hitler seized power in 1933, Goebbels was appointed Reichsminister for propaganda and national enlightenment.
From then until his death, Goebbels used all media of education and communications to further Nazi propagandistic aims, instilling in the Germans the concept of their leader as a veritable god and of their destiny as the rulers of the world.
In 1938 he became a member of the Hitler cabinet council. Late in World War II, in 1944, Hitler placed him in charge of total mobilization.

The Dems went down, but by less than the margin or error, and I's went up in approval.

So, republican support for Mueller went down. How is this news?

like MORE independents approve of Mueller in May than they did in March. And that's called winning by cnn's retarded standards?

When the Mueller shoe drops and people start considering impeachment, he was never going to win over Democrats or independents. But what he really can't afford is to have his own base turn on him. The constant attacks are an attempt to solidify his base, and the polls show it's working because Republican trust of Muller is down from 29 percent to 17 percent over the course of a couple months.

He knows removal by the Senate will take a bipartisan effort, and Republican senators will only vote for his removal if they fear their base will turn on them if they don't. So by convincing the Republican voters that the Mueller investigation is a sham, it also protects Republican senators and allows them to reject removal without fear of backlash from their constituents.

His base isn't enough to keep him in office. If independents turn against him, he's done in the midterms and 2020. I've said for a long time that donnie's base is irrelevant. They'll follow him to the gates of hell. It's the other 60-65% that we need to make sure knows what's really going on.

They can ignore the FACTS all they want. That's the nice thing about facts, is that they don't much care about what your opinion is (and neither will the Courts). Even if Congress does not, cannot, or WILL NOT impeach his orange ass, those criminal charges will exist after he leaves office, and he WILL die in prison.

Besides. I very much believe the 'Mueller has a dead-mans switch' theory that states that if Mueller is removed for whatever reason, the indictments will be unsealed and his (attempted) removal will be the final nail in the coffin for charges of Obstruction and Conspiracy to Commit.

Robert Mueller has made a career out of wrecking the lives and fortunes of mobsters. You think for a short minute that Trump is gonna outsmart this man? Hahahahahhaha!

The GOP doesn't need to win in 2018, they just need to lose by a reasonable margin to beat the gerrymandering spread.

As for reelection, maybe he gets the Israelis, Arabs and Chinese to help him instead of the Russians.

"In large part, he's winning it because he's the only one arguing right now." If only there was something that could be done about it! A counter-balance, if you will, to leaving the field wide open to one man to set the framing and tone for the political discussion. Maybe a network devoted to news? On cable? Sort of a cable network of news or something? But what would you call such an organ?

CNN is so modest about their ongoing contributions to Trump's preferred narrative. But they can still pretend to be surprised that that unopposed narrative moves public opinion. Assholes.
