If you're not watching MSNBC's "Everyday Racism in America," I recommend you turn it on

Very insightful.

9. I just watched the Chinese Exclusion Laws program.

I am embarassed at my ignorance. It is a must see program. I just checked to see if it is going to be shown again but can not find a listing.

I have a neighbor who has a granddaughter who is half Chinese. My neighbor is completely oblivious to the fact that her granddaughter is experiencing childhood differently than she did in this all white mostly German American very red state. The child comes over and talks to me all the time when she is staying next door. I think it is because she has met my neice (by marriage) who is Chinese. This child is beautiful, brilliant and an artist.

8. Yes - recommended. The young man who was moving into his new apt & someone called the police

saying he was armed and breaking into the apt. Holy crap - that's how people are shot by police - someone reporting an armed man. The young man said that it was probably someone who did not want him moving in. This is enlightening and scary to me.

11. That young man is a former white house staffer.

For president Obama. As we have seen countless times, does not matter if you are wealthy, educated , famous, as long as you are black you still can be harassed and even shot.

12. Oh I did not know that. There really needs to be some repercussions for those that call police with

such a malicious and possibly deadly intentions.

10. I agree. Very very good.

Unfortunately, as I posted earlier, I fear people who need to watch it the most won't or will dismiss it as liberal propaganda.

Everybody was on point. Most of these incidents had been reported before and those of us paying attention knew about it. However, discussing all of them together with excellent panelists really made it impactfull.

I am thinking we are starting to see a turning point, a push back against overt and covert racism. I am hoping that other big corporations will start or strengthen their sensitivity training. Only by repetition will the culture slowly move in the right direction.

13. This should be mandatory viewing for all Americans

Most of us shy away from honest discussions with each other. It was refreshing to see this on the tube.
