1. They reported about Melania/Melanie on CNN today due to the rumors

of nefarious happenings. Supposedly she is alive and still resting after being released from the hospital following kidney surgery the other week.

instead of letting someone just see or interview her.

From your comment, I'm guessing you think the "kidney" procedure was much more involved than the procedure the rest of us peons would get from our insurance?

Or they are not just reporting it because they don't have to, because they happen to be named Trump?

3. I don't think the report sounded concerned at all.

It was just a statement from an anchor and was two sentences long/short. I think they needed to say something and this was all they could get out of the W House. It was like a blip, nothing more.
