I mean, the Trump Presidency has brought it all out in the open: the racism, misogyny, bigotry and hate. The MeToo movement an outgrowth of the seeming acceptance of his attacks on women. The racists march in Charlottesville and the statues continue to come down. Corrupt governors and congressmen are dropping out like flies. The Don has brought it all out of the woodwork, but instead of it all becoming the new normal, there has been pushback.
Good citizens are seeing it all brought out in the open and are calling it out. No more looking the other way. We are deciding, once more, who we want to be as a society. This is not who we are, not who we want to be. Hate and selfishness is toxic to a society; it is a dead end street and will not prevail.

(1,474 posts)trump has removed the costumes from the Klan. Racists and bigots have been empowered to reveal themselves. Before a problem can be confronted, it must be revealed. trump has revealed a great deal about some Americans and many of them are too stupid to know that being plainly visible is not to their advantage.
