Rosenstein just nailed Nunes to the Wall

Staffers for Devin Nunes apparently threatened to hold Rod Rosenstein in Contempt of Congress in a recent meeting. He told them if they did, he would have the right to subpoena their communications and put them on the witness stand to prove them wrong. He's 100% right about that.

Feud erupts between DOJ and Nunes, with Rosenstein now threatening to call for a House investigation into Nunes staffers after DOJ rebuts account of heated, closed-door clash, per @LauraAJarrett

.........................................

Boom, Rosenstein aint taking Nunes shit any more.

Well now we know why Nunes has suddenly shut his trap.

as he's in way too deep and is likely guilty of numerous offenses, #1 being part of a conspiracy to obstruct the investigation of Russiagate! He redefines the old saw about being too stupid to get out of his own way!

It is a little late since he has the stink all over him. But it is kind of interesting to see how he squirms and wiggles to get out of it.

24. Hold on now...

He has a BS and an MS. As an Agriculture major I get tired of people thinking we learn how to milk and plow. I studied plant genetics and in the 80s med students would take our graduate courses because it was cutting edge genetics at the time. My multiple chemistry, physics and math courses were the same any other Science major took. We actually made fun of BA majors for their easy course load. Of course we were young and arrogant.

That said, the chairman of HHS is a brain surgeon who thinks the pyramids were used to store grain.

27. I just made a post earlier in this thread about being an Ag major

Like Nunes I have a BS in Agriculture. Plant science to be specific. It was a rigorous course load heavy on math, chemistry and genetics. I went to a Land Grant, Flagship University. Getting accepted was competitive but not hard. I think I am pretty sharp and can usually get through most situations on my wit.

That said, I have a friend who is a Harvard Law grad. Ivy League undergrad as well. She can think and talk circles around me. Going up against her in a debate or worse, in a field of law would leave me in a pool of sweat. She is flat out just more intelligent than I am with a more flexible mind.

I think this explains Nunes. He was always able to use his education and intelligence to get by. But he just realized he is out of his league. The men and women at the top of Justice and the FBI are able to flat out think and out strategize him. And they know everything. I expect he will now try to keep out of the limelight and try to just go away.

31. I agree

And I have no doubt that the grads from the truly prestigious universities are flat out smarter. I was a good student and got into a good land grant university. But no matter how hard I tried there is no way I had the intellect to get into a truly elite university.

We always like to think that all it takes is hard work. But no work would have allowed me to get a 1400 on the SAT. And smart sometimes wins.

That said, my personal relationships skills Have made my career!

Thats the traditional grade given the Less than Brilliant Children children of the moneyed "Gentlemen" who paid their tuition, and sometimes, for a new wing for the University.

Don't sell yourself short -- Attending an Ivy League school is as oftwn a matter of bucks and connections as it is of brains...Dubya went to Harvard and Trump went to the University of Pennsylvania -- Need I say more?

I think the days of buying your way in are past us. The test score requirements alone are daunting.

I have done well for myself by creating well working and harmonious teams that result in increased productivity. My trick? Treat everyone with respect and kindness and insist that everyone on my teams do the same with termination as the only other option.

It is amazing how many leaders think production increases when they threaten and demean their employees.

My Harvard grad.professor illuminated us on the mechanations employed by the wealthy to secure their children's entrance into "elite" schools. It was most interesting.

His staffers because they might be forced to reveal things that would piss off their boss.

Nunes himself because he might be forced to reveal things that would piss off the kind of people who can arrange fatal car accidents.
