The days of "moving forward for the good of the country" are over!

The outright horror we are witnessing now at the border and what has transpired these last 2 years from trumpland have pushed me over the edge.

When Democrats regain power I better not hear EVER AGAIN that we need to move on for the good of the country.

I want more than a pound of flesh from these fascist freaks.
I want the worst for them.

No quarter this time.

see that many that would chime in on political FB posts are pretty quite these days. I only have a few complete white wingers that seriously defend or crow about Trump. A lot of the rest know. They fucked up.

Maybe it's best to not corner them. Whatever small percentage it may be that learned their lesson, we may need them.

If children have no consequences for bad behavior, then there is no reason for them not to repeat it.

And we are definitely dealing with a man-baby here. Plus his cult administration.

If we dont hold these people accountable and just "move on", the same thing will rear its ugly ahead in the near future. This isnt just Trump, he's the figurehead of a movement that's been creeping into American politics for 40 years. Its a movement that doesnt believe science, degrades higher education, maligns the media except for blatant RW sources, gives credence to conspiracy theories and on and on. Trump has just exploited these things for his own narcissistic ends. The RW will just try and copy his playbook unless there is a reason not to.

Don't get me wrong, this is me, Solly, the DU member who will never let America's war crimes go, or stop pointing them out.

And words like disgust and contempt don't come close to how I feel about allowing war criminals and the like go free for some bullshit notion of "the good of the country" - which, to me, is another way of saying - the crimes and abuses committed - or the victims - don't really matter - because - Amurica!...but I'll believe it when I see it (actual accountability)....and I have my doubts.

I'd love to see the Trump regime go down and go down hard. Prison for all.

But a president committed war crimes and crimes against humanity and - zilch. Nothing.

I am beyond tired of the complete lack of accountability. I said about the Bush administration (and I wasn't the only one), allow them to get away with their crimes and the next wannabe will know exactly what they can get away with and they'll do worse.

Well...
