When my son was almost 2, I had to leave for 3 weeks - my father was in a coma out of state after an abrupt illness & cardiac arrest. I had to go be with him and support my Mom, who had my little brother who was 11 at the time. I had never been away from him for a single day, nor since after that. When I flew home, there was a disconnect there. He wouldn't hug me when we were reunited. He was disoriented and just "off". I'm not sure if he ever recovered from that. He was too young to really understand why I "disappeared".

And this is leaving him with my ex husband - a loving parent. And speaking on the phone every day.

So imagine the damage done to these kids who have been left behind in the hands of strangers, and have not been given any emotional comfort because they have been told not to TOUCH these children. It's a wtf moment in history. That in itself is emotionally abusive - emotional deprivation - who does that??!!! It's a crime of humanity. They have done that purposely, because this administration are monsters and see these children as animals through their racist eyes. There is no other purpose or explanation. When we send our very small kids to pre-school or day care or other child provider, we expect at minimum that they be consoled when needed & handled with loving care.

This video is heart wrenching. That child looks like he's in shock. I pray he recovers.
