Appeals to racism work.

Since 1968, the GOP has directly reached out to white racists as a strategic policy.
Nixon, Reagan, both Presidents Bush, and crudest of all, Donald Trump.


Sure, the GOP needs gerrymandering and suppression in addition to the racism, but they use racial hatred to inspire their base because it works.



I am not saying that every single GOP voter is a racist. I would never say that. I do not know every GOP voter. But even if non-racist GOP voters exist in any significant numbers, they still support a brutal racist pig like Donald Trump.

So if you go to the dance with KKK Grand Wizard Trump, do not be surprised if people assume that you are yourself a racist.
