When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose - Kennedy retiring

Doesn't seem like that much of a stretch to do the following:

1. Let Mango Mussolini make a nomination
2. Dems refuse to confirm anyone, attend any hearings until after the election.
3. Make the election a referendum on the SC pick
4. If Dems win the House/Senate provide one compromise - Merrick Garland
5. If Dems lose it is over anyway.

Look, the Country won't last until 2020, time for full on fight. When the media sides with Pukes over the delays, tell them to FUCK OFF!

Again, nothing to lose. You are trying to argue civility, precedence, while I am agrueing you are looking at the situation incorrectly. If they aren't stopped there will be no use for precedence.

What, specifically, do you propose that they do that would prevent Trump from nominating and the Senate Republicans from providing consent?

4. GOP could do it because they controlled the Senate then

And they still do now. There is nothing the Dems can do to block a nominee or confirmation. Nothing.

5. Problem in your logic: 1 happens, then 2 happens, then McTurtle executes so-called "nuclear option"

and we get Justice Giuliani, or Justice Jeanine, or some such far-right TRUMP sycophant. Are there any rules about SC Justices needing a law degree? Hell, how about Justice Jared or Justice Ivanka? Hell, why not Justice Lewandowski or Justice David Duke? The possibilities are endless!

To beat them we must think like them. Did they give a flying fuck about who HRC would appoint if she won?

WHY THE FUCK NOT!

Because they knew they could get away with Garland as a worst case.

8. I still don't understand how you plan to stop TRUMP from appointing whomever the fuck he wants.

They control Congress right now! TRUMP can literally do whatever the fuck he wants, because the party in power won't do anything to stop him. Sure, they might be "concerned" or even "troubled" by his actions, but in the end they will let him do whatever he wants. Hell, most of them will help him.

Go for it. It's a valid response. Just don't criticize those of us who choose a quieter exit from this hell.

We played every card possible on Gorsuch. We have zero leverage and no cards to play.
