(10,302 posts)But then... When Democrats win the presidency and the Senate, what would it take to add two more judges to SCOTUS?
Could definitely push through some constitutional amendment to avoid another McConnell being pulled again in the future.

(32,813 posts)IMO something definitely needs to be done to protect minority rights with regard to confirming a Supreme Court Justice for life. This is going to be extremely bad for a very long time.

(15,411 posts)the number of justices is not spelled out in the constitution.
Practically, however, I don't see how it could be done.

(51,583 posts)and get rid of the electoral college for a start. AND overturn Citizens United ASAP as well as whatever it is that Reagan (I think it was him) did which allowed Fux Ruse to be considered news and not propaganda. Then maybe things will have a chance to un-do all the crap that has been allowed to happen whenever the GOP rape this country.

(2,187 posts)So Democrats need to win both houses and make the change. 11 is a special, high-vibration number.and that should be the number of Justices anyways.
All of this should be a moot point for now because Spanky Spank-me-now, cannot be allowed to pick the man or woman who would set him free, you know, due to the ole loyalty oath and 'that thing' that develops between the two parties.
Don't give up !!! He will be made.to resign soon enough. Democrats need the.votes tho, so make sure to vote!
