I know the 4th of July is tomorrow, but it feels like just a ho hum day anymore.

I used to like the fireworks, but now everyone is shooting them off and the sound is annoying. I used to go to parties, but everyone there drinks way to much. And then there is this year, do I need to say anymore? Our freedom used to be a happy thing, now we are worried about what freedom will be like in the next few years? I am worried! The GOP, when they have all 3 branches of government, will finish off the very freedoms that we all worked hard for over the past 242 years. Through all the tough times to the great times, this country stood as One, but now I see a country torn apart, by greedy people who want power and money. But anyway, have nice day off! It might the last 4th of July we ever see?

3. Me either. I had my gradkids find friends who were doing things and call and invite

themselves. I really am not feeling very patriotic.

5. It will be any other day to me

I no longer feel patriotic or trust my country anymore to be the shining country it once was. It is disgraced and now controlled by A Russian puppet.

6. Dotard Dumpster Fire has stolen my patriotism.

This year, I'm wearing my black pants, my white t-shirt with an upside down flag that has the caption "In Dire Distress" under it and my white "Make America Smart Again" baseball cap which I wear every day, anyway. I think the t-shirt came from Zazzle and the cap came from Cafe Press.

9. Family is working in Washington and they are very impressed with the young people

they have met in Washington. The US bench is deep. This generation are brilliant and wonderful. It is just the surface that is warped.

12. Benjamin Franklin to Ms Elizabeth Powell of Philadelphia in 1787.

She asked him if we would be a republic or a monarchy.

Franklin answered, “Madam, we have given you a republic...if you can keep it.”

The malaise we all feel is from the stench of our dying republic.
