Or is that only in the movies?
Or maybe I shouldnt worry because he probably really doesnt pay attention or listen to classified info, let alone read anything?

(748 posts). . . that the CIA or the FBI "doing something" about Trump is what is meant by "checks and balances" under our constitutional system. Rather the contrary, actually.

(67,101 posts)think our founders envisioned a president wanting to destroy the country for many and a willing congress that is complicit and complacent. I think it was Jefferson (I'm pretty sure) that was concerned the evolution of a two party system and corporations could possibly destroy the country.

(748 posts). . . although, there, I don't think the blame can ultimately be laid at the feet of Congress.
Almost by definition, given the structure of our representative government, the true failure rests with the people of this country, no?
I mean, that's almost ontologically true, I should think. We get the government we deserve, and we are getting it.

(67,101 posts)starts with the local/state elections, but lots of people IMO do not pay attention, and fewer pay attention to the election, for example, of judges at the local level wherein sometimes they are voted in. It's hard to judge a judge, so to say, as often information is scant and some states/politicians try to block the information from public view.
