I cannot imagine the pain he still suffers. I get emotional just listening to the quavering voices of some of the mothers who’ve had their children torn away from them at the border. I can barely get through watching that - and at least those children are (presumably) still alive. Presumably. For all we know (which still isn’t much).

But death - when one’s child is KILLED in a senseless gun spree... (excuse me, ANOTHER senseless gun spree)... the pain of that too... Fred Guttenberg has had his child snatched away from him as well. So he shares that powerful grief.

And there’s the added sadness for those mothers (and fathers too) who’ve suffered this horrible affront, who’ve literally been sinned against (IMO) at the border. Nobody can be sure that some, or many, of them will ever see THEIR children again, either.
