Response to Dershowitz...

The other side: Emails published in the Boston Globe to Dershowitz from entertainment lawyer Walter Teller, a Vineyard resident, explain the social rejection:

"You thereby gave Trump an opportunity to use you and your positions in his own defense, to wave you like his pom-pom. How unfortunate for all of us.

You defended and gave cover to this president who relentlessly disrupts and destroys all that we value and causes massive and lasting damage to our political system, our courts, our standing in the world, the environment and more. In all of that you are complicit...You proudly announce where you have dined and with whom, going so far as to send out pictures of the menu of your meal with Trump at the White House. And then you complain publicly when you are not invited to dinner."

and then say you couldn't care less if you are shunned by "such people".

He's too full of himself for a "dialogue".

...when he argued, after her final acquittal, that Amanda Knox might be guilty. Which she obviously was not.

He wants to be seen as an idealist, but he comes across as a contrarian.

Trump's moving of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was / is seen as a pro- Israeli move.

The controversial move is further explained here.

not pro-Israel or any other democratic country.

The majority of Jews (about 70%) vote Dem, a party that has always strongly supported Israel.

https://forward.com/news/353914/by-the-numbers-3-key-takeaways-from-the-2016-jewish-vote/
71% of Jews supported the Democratic nominee in this year’s election — slightly more than the 69% who voted for Obama in 2012, but significantly less than the 78% who turned out for Obama in 2008, the 74% who voted for Kerry in 2004, or the 79% who voted for Gore in 2000.
