A few greetings from Europe

éPeople reign over the American political world as God reigns over the universe. It is cause and end of all things; all comes out of it and all is absorbed in it." Alexis de Tocqueville

A video is embeded. A French Orchestra plays the anthem.

It's an element of right-wing scripture that France and its people have never been 'properly grateful' for the US's intervention in World Wars I & II. They see it as a debt that France has been too mulish to 'repay'.

Personally, I see our involvement in those wars as us paying back the enormous debt we owe to France and her people for their help in securing our own independence. I will always feel that way.

I love France and her wonderful people!

I'm too tired today, but tomorrow, I'll translate a few tweets from a French TV show called "History Secrets"

Until then, some pics of the Hermione. It is a reproduction of the 1779 Hermione, which ferried General La Fayette to the United States in 1780.
