Police Called After Woman Confronts Steve Bannon In Bookstore

BY TOM PORTER ON 7/8/18 AT 6:51 AM

A bookstore owner in Richmond, Virginia said he called police after a woman confronted and abused former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon in his store.

Speaking to the The Richmond Times-Dispatch Saturday, Black Swan Books owner Nick Cooke said that the woman had called Bannon a “piece of trash.”

“Steve Bannon was simply standing, looking at books, minding his own business. I asked her to leave, and she wouldn’t. And I said, ‘I’m going to call the police if you don’t,’ and I went to call the police and she left,” Cooke said. “And that’s the end of the story.”

Bannon is the latest former or current member of the Trump administration have been confronted by members of the public and activists.

What does the Washington Post have to do with this thread?
And why say the failing Washington Post?
That sounds like something Trump would tweet

I'm no fan of Steve Bannon. I'm glad that a customer
let him know what she thought of him. But to keep at it,
creating a scene in a bookstore, and not stopping or leaving
when asked to by the owner, is going too far. It's a bookstore,
like a library, a place that to me is almost sacred. It's unlikely
but maybe he was browsing in a section where a book might
open his eyes and change him for the better. I know, he was probably
looking for a fresh copy of "Mein Kampf", but really we must
keep hope alive.

His wife embezzled 2.2 million from the church. He claimed to have no knowledge of her shenanigans, but records show 90 grand of it showed up at his former parish. Not sure if they were ever criminally charged. ETA she was convicted and spent 4 years in prison.

on the store floor. Wow! I guess book store owners like Nick Cooke want their stores to be full of trash. Do Nazis need to be left alone and not ostracized? Or should there be a special day called Ostracize a Nazi Day!?

So, a woman confronted monstrous Steve Bannon in this bookstore. A man who beats women, lies, and is responsible for some of the most poisonous propaganda since Goebbels and colluded with foreigners in the form of Cambridge Analytical, and God knows who else, to bring an even worse monster to the White House.

The bookstore owner? He calls the police on her. Says everything you need to know about this place doesn't it?

I hope protesters fill the doorway to this place for the next six weeks at least.

The owner of this book store is the former pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church, Nicholas Trout Cooke III. He and his wife embezzled $2.2 million from the church in the 90's. Flash forward to 2018. Nicholas Cooke calls police on a woman in his bookstore for calling out white nationalist, Steve Bannon. Horrible people stick together.
