Dr. Richard Harris a brilliant ray of hope from Australia giving hope on a dark day

On a day where Donald Trump is aggressively dismantling Western Civilizations cooperative economic and security cooperation, the greatest coalition in human history, to give rise to the cult of personality that the coalition defeated a ray of heroic self sacrifice brightens the day and decimates the clouds of the tyrant.
Dr. Richard Harris is Australian and he just came out of a cave where he spent the last 5 days.
There were heroics and sacrifices by many, and none greater than Saman Kunont, who is pictured below

but the single individual that had the greatest impact on the success was the Australian doctor that went in early and stayed the entire time with the boys.

One of the men most responsible for the success of the rescue is Australian anaesthetist and underwater cave explorer Richard Harris, who was part of the 20-strong Australian rescue contingent.

Described in a South Australia Ambulance Service statement as a "quiet and kind man" who "didn't think twice about offering his support on this mission" Harry, as he is known, was lauded for his work in throughout the rescue period.
Dr. Harris provided the key medical advice that would allow the 13 to strengthen while awaiting a rescue. He was able to give triage advice so the most vulnerable would exit first. He arrived early and was the last one to leave.
When he exited the cave he received tragic news: his father had passed away while he was in the cave
At the final press conference for the rescue mission Wednesday, mission commander Narongsak Osotthanakorn paid tribute to Harris. "On behalf of the operation unit, we want to send our condolences to him and I do have to thank him a lot," he said. "Without him, in this operation, I don't think we could have succeeded."
Australians across their continent are calling for Dr. Harris to be named "Australian of the Year" but Dr. Harris deflects and says that the kids, coach and Thai seals are the heroes.
Adelaide anaesthetist and underwater cave explorer Richard Harris has said he’s no hero and the true thanks should go to the Thai Navy SEALs and the kids themselves.
But the SEALs beg to differ and have taken to Facebook to thank Dr Harris personally and Australia as a whole for their help in the rescue effort.
It’s been said that Dr Harris — known as Harry — was the last person to leave the Tham Luang caves after the Wild Boars soccer team was rescued.
Speaking on Wednesday via Skype to Malcolm Turnbull, Dr Harris brushed off the Prime Minister’s praise.
“The big heroes in this are the children and the Thai Navy SEALs who were looking after them,” he said.
“They are the toughest blokes and kids I have ever had the privilege to meet and without them being in the state they were in, we couldn’t have done anything; that's where the credit lies.”
From the Thai perspective they will be cheering the kids and the coach until they lose their voice but Narongsak Osotthanakorn mission commander and Dr. Harris have the greatest respect for their leadership. Elon Musk has also gotten big credit for designing and producing an individual submerged pod at his rocket factory in 18 hours and then personally taking it to Mae Sai, in 18 hours. The fact that it ultimately wasn't used doesn't undermine the high respect they have for him.

You are a ray of sunshine on a dark day Dr. Harris. Your father was fortunate to have such a great son and I am sure his last days were filled with pride over your many heroic actions as a Doctor who is also an expert scuba diver.

As we watch our own narcissistic egomaniac pretending to be a "leader", this doctor's heroic acts combined with his humble deflection of praise is inspirational.
Unlike Mr. "We're the elites," it doesn't matter what kind of apartment he lives in or how much money he has. Dr. Harris is the kind of person I aspire to be, the kind of person I hope my children aspire to be.
Here's to you, Dr. Harris! And here's to those like you who may never get their names in the paper, but who go about their lives attempting to quietly make the world a better place for everyone.
How can this be? 
All sarcasm aside, what a hero. And how fortuitous...an anesthetist AND an underwater cave explorer AND a selfless hero. How often do those things comes together in one person?
