the "ineligibles" , god, how appalling

Trump Administration official on #FamilySeparation: “We anticipate that, as of the early morning on July 12, we will have reunified all children under age 5 who are eligible under the court order for reunification with parents in the United States”amna

UPDATE: Trump administration now says it's reunited 57 children under the age of 5 who were separated from families, as of 7am EST this morning. 46 children (under 5) were deemed "ineligible" for reunification right now.

It's the Trumps' incompetence and negligence and meanness that's preventing these children from being freed. Sooner or later, there will be present day Nuremberg trials for these sick traitors.

"ineligible?"

When I was watching MSNBC last night, I heard that 'eligible' children would be reunited with their parents.
That was my question then....WTF does 'eligible' mean?

Is the child a felon or something?
Would Jim Jordan be eligible?
