Tweety's "Hardball" at Java Joe's yesterday was very revealing about many Iowans.

Chris was asking for yea or nay on the various candidates with very little enthusiastic responses. He decided to go all in and asked how many there were for Obama. There was quite an enthusiastic response in the "yea" category. I don't think the President is going to have the problems so many are predicting. He is very well liked and informed voters realize "obstructionism" has been at the forefront. Tweety said he "just knew this would happen" sort of kiddingly, but I think he was surprised with the Obama support. Just an observation..

Repukes I know absolutely HATE Chris and I doubt they would go see him in large numbers. Bet his audience was full of Dems. If he came to your town, wouldn't you be there?

had to laugh at his humility and your point is right on. I think he was hoping for a rabid and all out repub crowd. He didn't get it...LOL.

not many Republicans or FoxNews viewers were going to show up to see MSNBC's Chris Matthews.
So, we can't really tell what will end up happening in Iowa in the General Election November 2012.

Also, Matthews at first did not ask 'who is going to vote for so and so republican' - he was asking 'which republican do you THINK WILL WIN the GOP caucus',
then later he was asking about who was going to vote for Obama.

Btw, Des Moines is BLUE.
