But I was writing a CAPTION, and as a writer I was entering the thought-speech patterns of my subject, pretend-channeling him, if you would, for satiric purposes. So I used a word Putin would have used (given his background and, of course, if he spoke a more fluent English than he might have access to) to describe how he likely feels about Trump. Again for satire. Another word wouldn't work the same. It's casual, quick to tongues such as these, and has no false not like "servant" or "turd" or other derogatory terms. These would have unduly called attention to themselves and diluted the potential humor.
(Explaining a joke is like dry-humping a wire brush.)
