sides so as to make a senate body impervious to all things rump, and do the same to the US House of reps, where a few more votes would need to be switched.

I don't understand the republican thinking on this issue...they are, instead of doing a switch of their party allegiance from gop to democrat, resigning instead. So what is going on?

Instead, when the 2018 November election cycle comes, the blue wave will materialize, and then the gop will be left holding nothing, absolutely nothing, so I don't get it. Are these guys so mad w/ power that they have now,
unable to share it, despite the very real danger to the country?

Go figure, there is something else out there that's we're not aware of, but the gop is fully aware of it. Sounds pretty traitorous to me, remember Paul Ryan telling his California companion to shut up?
